HelloFellow is a friendly place. By entering you agree to a few simple rules:

Be kind. No hate, harassment, or threats — in any language.
No spam, scams, or illegal content.
Messages are automatically moderated before they appear.
The community can vote to remove disruptive users (5 votes = a timeout).
Don't share personal information — yours or anyone else's.

Recommended age: 16+

HelloFellow connects you with strangers from all over the world. We recommend a minimum age of 16. Younger people should not use the service without appropriate supervision.

Voice messages

Voice messages are transcribed, and the transcript follows exactly the same safety rules as written messages. Don't record anything you wouldn't write.

Chat messages and voice recordings are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Direct chats are private from other people in the room, but they are not end-to-end encrypted: content may be processed or reviewed for safety, abuse prevention and administration.

We may remove access for behavior that harms the room. That's the whole deal.
